Tonight the Flyers hit the ice in hopes of extending their current two game winning steak as. The Flyers were carried by Tom Sestito's career to a big win on Tuesday night against the Lightning. The Panthers are going in the other direction, coming off of a tough OT loss to the Jets on Monday. These two teams played, the Flyers ran through the Cats, beating them 7-1 in Florida.

The last time these two teams played, the Flyers played there best game of the season to that point. The Flyers played a very physical brand of hockey and broke the Panthers very early, scoring three and a half minutes into the contest. The Flyers power play played the best it has to this point, netting to man advantage goals, and Flyers forwards felt little resistance from any Panther defender.

The Panthers were crippled by bad goaltending and it killed their spirit very early. Jose Theodore only lasted one period, stopping only 6 of 9 shots. Scott Clemmensen came into the game to try and stop the Flyers potent offense, but had similar results as his predecessor. One positive, from the Panthers side, is that they out shot the Flyers, despite losing 7-1.

Tonights game will be played in Philly and the Flyers have compiled a 3-1 record at the Wells Fargo Center, while the Panthers have a under whelming 1-3-1 record on the road. Just like the game these two played on Jan. 26, goaltending will be the key to the game. Ilya Bryzgalov has returned to his All-Star form and has been the star of the Flyers team so far. Jose Theodore has played the exact opposite. Theodore ranks near the bottom in both save percentage and in goals against and has really crippled the Panthers to this point in the season. The Panthers will have their first line winger, Kris Versteeg, back for this game and the Panthers will need him to show up if they want to win.

I think the Flyers offense will have a strong performance and will ride on, yet another, strong showing from Ilya Bryzgalov.
