Dustin Brown scored the go-ahead goal near the midway mark of the third period, as the Los Angeles Kings snapped a five-game skid with a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Davis Drewiske also scored in the third frame for the Kings, who bounced back from a 3-0 loss to the Bruins on Tuesday to improve to 1-1-0 under interim head coach John Stevens. Jonathan Quick made 24 saves for Los Angeles, which has been held to two goals or less in 10 straight games. Jeff Carter lit the lamp for a fourth consecutive contest for the Blue Jackets, who fell to 1-2-1 on a five-game homestand. Curtis Sanford turned aside 39-of-41 shots in defeat.

Brenden Morrow and Jamie Benn tallied early in the third period as Dallas emerged with a 3-2 victory over the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum. Loui Eriksson added a goal and one assist for the Stars, who won their third straight game and finish their five-game road trip at New Jersey on Thursday. Richard Bachman picked up the victory with 25 saves. Kyle Okposo and Michael Grabner scored for the Islanders, losers of four consecutive tilts. Kevin Poulin stopped 26 shots in defeat.
Final: Nashville Predators 4, Detroit Red Wings 3
Shea Weber scored the tying and go-ahead goals late in the third period, lifting the Nashville Predators to a 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday. Jordin Tootoo added a goal and an assist and David Legwand also scored for the Predators, who extended their season-long win streak to four games thanks to Weber's blue-line wrister with 1:36 remaining. Pekka Rinne stopped 37 shots in the victory. Tomas Holmstrom, Henrik Zetterberg and Nicklas Lindstrom each had a goal, while Jimmy Howard made 17 saves for the Red Wings, who saw their three-game win streak come to an end.
Final: St. Louis Blues 4, NY Rangers 1
Alexander Steen had a goal and an assist, helping the St. Louis Blues beat the New York Rangers, 4-1. David Perron, Jason Arnott and Patrik Berglund also lit the lamp for the Blues, who won the final four games of a five-game homestand. Brian Elliott made 25 saves for St. Louis, which improved to 12-2-3 under Ken Hitchcock. Michael Del Zotto scored the lone goal for the Rangers, who have lost two straight. Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves.
Final: San Jose Sharks 5, Colorado Avalance 4
Logan Couture scored the game-winner with 8:31 remaining, the last of three unanswered goals for the Sharks in their 5-4 victory over the Avalanche. Trailing 4-2 entering the third, San Jose pulled even with goals by Brent Burns and Joe Pavelski before Couture re- directed Patrick Marleau's shot over Semyon Varlamov's left shoulder for the go-ahead goal. Antti Niemi kept the Avs off the board the rest of the way and finished with 23 saves to split the home-and-home series and snap the Sharks' three-game slide. Paul Stastny scored twice and assisted on Daniel Winnik's tally, but Colorado fell to 0-8-1 in its last nine road games. Varlamov made 29 saves in defeat
