Following the All-Star break is when you start to see teams make moves towards the trade deadline to add that extra piece in their run for the Stanley Cup or push to make the playoffs and some teams usually Brian Burke like to get ahead start on it so here are some players over the next few weeks you can probably expect to be moved within the next few weeks you'll notice that most of these players are UFAs next year

Teams listed in Alphabetical order

Anaheim Ducks - F Jason Blake, G Dan Ellis

I really don't think Anaheim is serious in trading Getzlaf, Perry maybe Bobby Ryan but I doubt anyone will be willing to pay the price Bob Murray wants in return and with Hiller's improving play I doubt he will get moved either unless they get another star goalie like Hiller *cough Ryan Miller *cough.  Blake is performing quite well as of late and is an UFA at the end of this season same with Ellis and could provide a team with some forward depth in the post-season

Buffalo Sabres - F Derek Roy & Any Player With an Expiring Contract

Pretty soon with Buffalo close to out of it at this point expect them to start selling away as they would love to have someone take on Derek Roy as he has been involved in trade rumors the past week and carries a $4 million cap hit next year and has Brad Boyes, Jochen Hecht, and Paul Gaustad who are all UFAs after this season and could get the Sabres some draft picks and prospects back in return. I don't think Ryan Miller gets moved yet. Stay tuned on that

Carolina Hurricanes - F Tuomo Ruutu, D Bryan Allen, D Tim Gleason, D Laroslav Spacek

This might be just the start with Carolina having a terrrible year Jim Rutherford might end up going with a full rebuild which pretty makes everyone except for Eric Stall, Jeff Skinner, and Cam Ward available. All 4 players are all UFAs at the end of this season and lots of teams are supposedly wanting defensemen at this point

Columbus Blue Jackets - F Kristian Huselius, F Samuel Pahlsson, F Vaclav Prospal, D Radek Martinek, G Curtis Sanford

I really think they would love to get rid of Antoine Vermette more but I doubt that will happen because of his contract so I'll stick with these 5 players all UFAs Sanford could get moved goaltending swaps are rare though Columbus could get some picks back out of this group Pahlsson and Prospal veterans with playoff experience and Pahlsson who has a Cup would be an asset.

Edmonton Oilers - F Ales Hemsky, D Theo Peckham

Hemsky has been linked to Detroit recently expect him to get dealt if not to Detroit to somewhere Peckham might be a good add to a team needing depth on D and he's and RFA

Montreal Canadiens - F Travis Moen, F Andrei Kostitsyn, D Hall Gill, D Chris Campoli

With the Habs pretty much near out of it too but do you really know what Pierre Gauthier is thinking because I don't either and I don't think a lot of people know but I think he realizes this team's chances of making it are slim and Moen would be an idea trade candidate and I get the feeling they would trade Kostitsyn in a heartbeat.  Gill and Campoli would net a draft pick in return and are decent players for a team in need of depth on D

New Jersey Devils - F Zack Parise?

This is an interesting though here because the Devils have a shot at the playoffs but with the team in serious financial problems right now I really don't see the Devils being able to resign Parise next year and can you really see the Devils losing him for nothing even though they are in a playoff race memories of Florida and Jay Bowmeester a few years ago

New York Islanders - F Brian Rolston, F Jay Pandolfo, F P. Parenteau, D Milan Jurcina, D Steve Staios

All 5 are UFA's next year out of this group I'm thinking Pandolfo and Staios would be the most likely. Rolston I think could be had but he does make just a bit more than $5 million and he has a no-trade clause

Tampa Bay Lightning - F Dominic Moore, D Brett Clark, D Matt Gilroy

Moore has been mentioned in trade rumors recently and with Tampa having a hard road ahead of making the playoffs at this point these 3 players would be likely trade candidates all 3 being UFAs at the end of this season and would come at a low cost

Toronto Maple Leafs - F Mikhail Grabovski, F Clarke MacArthur, F Nikolai Kulemin, D Luke Schenn

Even though Grabovski is a UFA as long as the Leafs are in a playoff race they aren't trading Grabovski at this point they could if it gets ugly in the next 3 weeks but I doubt that happens or unless Burke trades for a top centre something they have been looking for a few years. He would also like to add some size up front would could make MacArthur, Kulemin expendable same for Schenn since after the Liles contract extension that brings up a crowded D and the Schenn for Van Reimsdyk rumors are still there but Burke seems to want more than him back in return

As you can see I kept it to teams that look to me like sellers with onyl 2 teams on here that are in a playoff race right now the rest pretty much have a huge hill to climb to get in and are probably better off selling to get picks or prospects back in return and some of these guys might not get dealt anyways so it will be interesting to see where these guys will end up over the course of the next few weeks

Got any other players you think could be involved or any teams that could be on there comment or follow me on twitter @DArm91
